Rebecca Friedrichs: SCOTUS Delivers Hope For America And Her Children As Blaine Amendments Thrown On The Ash Heap Of History
ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Rebecca Friedrichs releases the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Montana’s ban on religious schools receiving taxpayer funds:
“For years, our public schools have been infiltrated by radical forces – led by unions posing as educators – who despise our freedoms and indoctrinate our children into their anti-American agenda. Now, the Supreme Court has effectively thrown Blaine Amendments on the ash heap of history. States can no longer prohibit religious schools from participating in private school choice programs, freeing dozens of states to engage in a real conversation about giving families educational options that best fit their needs.
“This ruling gives me hope for the healing of our country and the protection of our kids. It’s the right medicine at the right time and will allow us to start repairing our educational system before America as we know it is lost.”
Rebecca Friedrichs is the founder of For Kids & Country, author of Standing Up to Goliath, and a 28-year public school teacher who led the fight against the divisive tactics, politics and corruption of teachers’ unions as lead plaintiff in Friedrichs v CTA. Her U.S. Supreme Court case paved the way for a precedent-setting ruling which freed all public sector employees from forced unionism. Her PragerU video “Why Good Teachers Want School Choice” has over 5 million views.
